An OG in the mountaineering game Penfield dates back to 1975, and although a lot has changed since the days of Thatchers reign, Penfileds manifesto "For life in the open" hasn't and neither has the quality of their clothing. Wood Wood have taken one of the most iconic Barbour styles, the Bedale, and given it a Danish face lift in this new collaboration between the two brands. You have to be very careful when reworking something as classic as the Bedale and Wood Wood have taken that into effect, with making subtle changes and indiscreet touches the Danish brand have proved triumphant. The Barbour x Wood Wood Bedale will be available at the end of September at Wood Wood stores and their website.

Universal Works store launch

Last Thursday saw the opening of Universal Works' first store, and located on the picturesque Lambs Conduit street it's nestled perfectly alongside neighbors Folk and Oliver Spencer. The evening was a perfect example of a great summer night, beers were had on the street and the atmosphere was amazing. The store is exactly what you'd expect from a brand which prides itself on the ethos of less is more, it has great attention to detail and we were more than happy to be invited down.

How did you make your way into tattooing? I'd never really payed much attention to tattoos until about 8 years ago when a friend of mine got his first tattoo from Thomas Hooper. It was a big anchor with eagle wings all in black and grey. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. From that moment on we both started getting tattooed on a regular basis. Last Monday at Mother saw the Paszport! magazine launch, we were greeted to the sound of steel drums covering Joy Division, an unlimited supply of free beer, top quality nosh, and, most importantly the England vs. France game projected on a huge screen. The whole afternoon had an amazing atmosphere with even better company and even though the final score was nothing to shout about the experience was.
