New Season Suit

Well here we are. September time already, festival season nearly over, kids back to school, football back on telly, X Factor every Saturday night and is it now that Autumn officially begins as far as the calendar is concerned?? Summer came and went pretty quick and was it a good one?? A just about respectable 6 out of 10 in our books. Plenty of outside eating and drinking done, a bit of World Cup watched (albeit one of the worst in living memory), a bit of local, and not so local festival action (some in Number Six HQ getting involved a tad more then others) and last but certainly not least, the chance to knock around in a daily, consistent uniform of shorts and tee shirts for nearly 3 months solid. All very nice, but the sight of new season Autumn Winter hanging on the rails makes us come over all excited and giddy that the temperature is finally dropping and we are going to get the chance to start layering up in a manner that is most appropriate for this time of the year. Pub gardens or sitting inside, round the open fire telling a hugely exagerated story of how we used to do things back when we were knee high to a grass hopper??? Give us the latter all day long please.
That brings us round nicely to one of the brands that we are always pleased to see turn up on the hallowed turf of Number Six. The very clever fellows of Suit from Denmark know a thing or two when it comes to designing and producing a collection that is so easily wearable in absolutely every department that we find ourselves regularly tipping our hats to them in sheer admiration. Their latest offering of outerwear in the shape of the Suit Varden Arctic Parka in Marine or Wine and the Suit Vital Winter Fishermans Jacket also in Marine and Wine is right up there with what any other respectable jacket brand is doing but at a fraction of the price. The rest of the collection is not to be sneezed at either with the classic Suit Timmy Check Shirt (complete with elbow patches for leaning on bars) and the Suit Tin Striped Oxford shirt both indulging us with the slightest, yet carefully positioned details which set these wiley Danes apart from the masses. With some of their heavyweight knitwear, cords and chinos on the way to us, keep an eye on Suit as we have watched it grow over the last few seasons and to say we are SUITably impressed (get it??.....SUITably impressed!!) would be an understatement.
Also just gone live is this little belter from Clarks Originals. The Weaver low in suede is a must have crepe soled shoe for the summer in every way but come the Autumn showers, it is time to stick these fine friends away until next year. Not to worry though, get your hands on the bad weather proof Clarks Originals Weaver Leather Boot and you are all set to be looking the cats whiskers for a full 12 months of the year.
Finally, at long long last, we are very happy to announce that Number Six in Hampstead has officially opened and we are ready to bring the fine garments that you typically associate with Number Six to the lucky residents of NW3 and surrounding areas. The store is a beauty and we have some exclusives (Levis Vintage, Fred Perry, Norse Projects, Red Wing) that you won't find online or in Dray Walk just yet so if you have a spare moment and find yourself in the North West of London, please do drop by and say hello.
